Konica Minolta Printing Solutions awarded nominated manufacturer status to the National Printer Agreement

 


Leading printer company and university purchasing group join forces to make quality printing more accessible

 

London, UK – May 2007 – Konica Minolta Printing Solutions has been awarded nominated manufacturer status to the National Printer Agreement (NPA). The contract is worth in excess of £10m per annum in hardware revenue and is the largest printer contract currently running in the UK Universities and colleges across the UK will be able to use this framework in order to purchase their printers.

 

The North Eastern Universities Purchasing Group Ltd (NEUPG), who runs the framework, is made up of 23 universities across the North, who collectively work together to optimise the strengths that combined purchasing and consideration of the procurement process can bring. The group structure helps to facilitate the exchange of general purchasing information between institutions where the networking potential of bringing like-minded professionals together can be realised.

 

The NEUPG central office and staff provide planning, co-ordination, purchasing support and advice to the working of the Group, with appropriate assistance from institutional purchasing advisers. Konica Minolta Printing Solutions has collaborated with four IT re-sellers to aid its product and service lead portfolio for this contract: DTP, Getech, Phoenix and XMA.
